- 1.2 kgpieces of chicken
- 750 mlred wine
- 150 gbacon bits
- 250 gbutton mushrooms
- 2carrots
- 1large onion
- 2cloves garlic
- 2 tbspflour
- 2 tbspoil
- 30 gbutter
- 1bouquet garni
- 250 mlchicken broth
- Salt and pepper
- Fresh parsley
Instructions
- 1Peel the carrots and onion. Slice the carrots into rounds and thinly slice the onion.
- 2Heat the oil in a Dutch oven. Brown the chicken pieces on all sides, then remove them.
- 3Add the bacon bits, onion, and carrots. Sauté for five minutes.
- 4Add the minced garlic and flour. Mix for one minute.
- 5Return the chicken to the Dutch oven. Pour in the red wine and broth.
- 6Add the bouquet garni, lightly salt and pepper.
- 7Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour.
- 8Clean and cut the mushrooms. Sauté them in the butter for five to seven minutes.
- 9Add the mushrooms to the Dutch oven and continue cooking for 15 minutes without the lid, so that the sauce thickens slightly.
- 10Remove the bouquet garni and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
