Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Nibblore is operated by Oron ("we", "us", "our"). Oron acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Nibblore service ("Service").

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data — name, email, login credentials, profile avatar.
• Content you upload — recipes, ingredients, notes, photos, tags, family board information, and any translations you request.
• Family and sharing metadata — family memberships, invite codes and links, admin status.
• Support communications — messages you send us and their contents.
• Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, features used, language preference, approximate location derived from IP.
• Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, timestamps, error logs.

3. Why we process it and legal basis

• Provide the Service (create your account, store recipes, share with your family, generate covers, translate) — performance of contract.
• Security and fraud prevention (rate limiting, abuse detection, audit logs) — legitimate interests.
• Product improvement and analytics (aggregated usage metrics) — legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of contract and legitimate interests.
• Legal compliance (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests) — legal obligation.
• Marketing communications, where applicable — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share personal data with

• Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, storage, analytics, AI (recipe extraction, image generation and translation), and email delivery vendors acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com Market Ltd — Paddle is the official seller and Merchant of Record for all Nibblore subscriptions. When you purchase a plan, checkout is hosted by Paddle and certain personal data — including your name, email address, billing address, country, IP address, payment method details and transaction history — is collected directly by Paddle and/or shared with Paddle to process the sale, manage your subscription, calculate and remit sales tax/VAT, issue invoices and handle refunds and chargebacks. Invoices and receipts are issued by Paddle and the charge on your card or bank statement will appear under Paddle's name, not Nibblore. Paddle acts as an independent controller for this payment data and processes it under its own Privacy Policy and Buyer Terms.
• Other members of your family board — anything you save to a shared board is visible to that family's members; anything you mark public is visible to any Nibblore user.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, insurance, where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside your country of residence. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your recipes at any time from within the app and request account deletion by contacting us.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to portability, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege database policies — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and unit preferences and secure the Service. We may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Voice and microphone

Hands-free cooking uses your device's built-in speech features. Your voice may be processed by your device or browser provider, but it is never recorded, stored or sent to Nibblore. We record only the recognised command type and language.
